Blackberry Services Problem

Many Blackberry users in Europe, Middle East, Africa and parts of Asia are facing service outage problem due to the technical glitch in the smartphone maker's infrastructure. The outage of services are caused due to the large backlog of data which was generated and the company said they are  working to clear that backlog and restore normal service as quickly as possible.

The blackouts have left millions of users around the globe without email services, web browsing and Blackberry Messaging (BBM) services. The Blackberry users are left with no option but to text and make calls. BBC has reported that the server problem maybe caused at the RIM's UK data centre in Slough.

"Although the system is designed to failover to a back-up switch, the failover did not function as previously tested. As a result, a large backlog of data was generated and we are now working to clear that backlog and restore normal service as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience and we will continue to keep you informed," the RIM statement said. Hope the services of Blackberry are restored back by the RIM as soon as possible.
