Samsung Wave 3 Announced

Samsung has announced Bada 2.0 OS based Wave 3. The phone will available first in France than to Germany, Italy. Samsung Wave 3 will be available by the end of next month in India. Samsung Wave 3 has 4 inch Super AMOLED screen, 1.4Ghz processor, a 5MP auto-focus camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording feature and a VGA front facing camera. The phone will have WiFi, HSPA + connectivity, Bluetooth, voice recognition features and Near Field Communication(NFC). The Wave will cost around Rs.19,600.

NASA Launches Mars Rover

NASA launched Mars Science Laboratory alias Curiosity from Florida on Atlas 5 rocket at 15.05 GMT. The rover weigh 900kg and will take eight and a half months to reach Mars. The total cost of the project stands at $2.5 billion. The payload on the rover includes MastCam, MAHLI, and MARDI cameras for taking different variety of pictures, ChemCam, APXS, CheMin, SAM, RAD, REMS,MEDLI, Hazcams and Navcams for navigation.

BlackBerry Launched Three Smartphone In India

Blackberry launched three phones in India which run on latest Blackberry 7 OS. The three smartphones are BlackBerry Bold 9790, BlackBerry Curve 9350 and Curve 9380. The BlackBerry Bold and Curve offers enhanced performance and browsing and also near-field communication(NFC) support. BlackBerry Bold 9790 has Qwerty keyboard with 2.45 inch touch screen display. The phone has 1Ghz processor, 5MP rear camera and 8GB of onboard memory which can expandable upto 32GB and is priced at Rs.27,490. BlackBerry Curve 9380 has a 3.2 inch display and comes with preinstalled social networking apps, including BBM, Facebook, Twitter and Social Feeds as well as a 5MP camera with flash and video recording. The new BlackBerry Curve 9380 is the first in the Curve range with a touch display and is priced around Rs.20,990. The BlackBerry Curve 9350 is a CDMA based phone. The Handset has 800Mhz processor, 5MP camera and has 512MB of inbuilt memory. The phone is priced at Rs.20,990.

Idea Launches Android Based Smartphone

Idea has launched 3G Android based smartphone for Rs.5,850 and Rs.7,992. The Smartphone would run on Android v2.2 Froyo OS and will have 3.2MP camera. The smartphones will have 3.5 and 2.8 inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS. Smartphones will have social networking sites apps, Google and YouTube will be pre-loaded. Along with the phones Idea is offering data services worth Rs.3,500 with Rs.259 pack which offers 1GB of data download per month and Idea TV subscription both for three months, 3G Double Dhamaka benefits for 6 months and Rs.25 talktime for both prepaid and postpaid users.

Micromouse Robot Completes Maze in 3.921 Second

At the 2011 All Japan Micromouse Robot Competition in Tsukuba, Japan Ng Beng Kiat mcromouse robot named Min7.1 completed the maze course in just 3.921 seconds beating the previous 4 seconds record. The robots are first set to anonymously explore the maze, it had the top speed of 12 kilometer per hour.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 730 is now available online in India via Flipkart.com and Letsbuy.com. The Galaxy Tab 730 has 8.9 TFT inch display and runs on Androids v3.1 Honeycomb OS. It has Nvidi's dual-core Tegra 2 Processor with 1GB of RAM, a 3MP camera with HD recording and auto-focus feature and a secondary 2MP front facing camera. The Tab will have TouchWiz 4.0 UI and have 30 pin port to connect to power adapter or transfer cable. Other feature include Bluetooth 3.0, HSPA+ connectivity, Wi-Fi and 3G. The Flipkart and Letbuys lists the price of Rs.30,900 for this tab.

Scientists Invent's Night-Vision Material

A team of US scientists have invented an night-vision material that emits two weeks of night vision light after just minute's of exposure to sun light. The material consist of phosphorescent material and paint. The material combines the well-known near infrared-light emitter trivalent chromium ion with zinc gallogermanates - a complex oxide compound. Prof Pan one of the scientist said the substance could also help develop next-generation solar energy cells thanks to its efficiency at collecting and storing sunlight. This near-infrared material could also offer the military "secret" illumination at nighttime and revolutionize diagnostic medicine.

HTC Quattro to be Launch by Early 2012

HTC has indicated that it will launch a Tegra 3 quad core tablet Quattro next year. The Quattro will run on Androids v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and have 10.1 inch touch screen display, 1GB RAM, rear 2MP and 1.3MP front HD camera. The tablet will have 16GB of internal storage, WiFi, Bluetooth and HTC scribe pen. HTC may launch Quattro by Feb-March 2012.

It has Noise rejecting microphone filters that removes the noise around you, allowing the person on the other end of the call to hear more clear voice. The Headset has Rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides 4.5 hours of talk time and 100 hours of standby time per charge and also has Battery indicator shows battery status from green to amber to red indicating the battery level. Amazon will launch Smartphone By 2012 End

Amazon may launch smartphone by the end of 2012 Citigroup said. In a research note the brokerage said Amazon is jointly developing a phone with cellphone maker Foxcon International. The smartphone will have Texas Instruments processor and Qualcomm's based chip. With Amazons success from Kindle e-Reader and Kindle Fire, Amazon may come up with a good phone in the market.

Neutrinos Travels Faster Than Light 'Again'

The researched have again carried out the neutrino experiment again and concluded with the same result. If neutrinos can travel faster than light than it would have a major impact because we have always studied that nothing can travel faster than light and undermine this basic principle of physics. The test this time was carried out with shorter bunches of neutrinos which previously the critics said that the long brunches of neutrinos use in first experiment may introduce some errors in the test result. The experiment has been carried out by OPERA(Oscillation Project with Emulsion tRacking Apparatus) collaboration. The neutrinos bunches are send from Cern facility in Switzerland through 730km of rock to a giant detector at the Gran Sasso laboratory in Italy operated by INFN.

Airtel Revealed iPhone 4S Prices in India

Bharti Airtel has revealed the price of the much awaited iPhone 4S in India. Airtel will be selling the iPhone 4S 16GB variant for Rs.44,500 and 32GB variant for Rs.50,900. The iPhone 4S will be launched on 25 November in India, while Airtel has started taking the pre-orders from today. Aircel which also with Airtel announced the iPhone 4S launch in India has not yet started taking pre-orders but soon will. The Airtel has also repriced the iPhone 4 for Rs.35,000 for the 8GB variant and iPhone 3GS for Rs.20,900.

Lenovo to Launch Tegra 3 Android Based Tablet

Lenovo will launch a new tablet with Nvidia Tegra 3 processor by the end of this year. The tablet would run on Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The tablet will have 10.1 inch touchscreen display, 2GB RAM, a rear camera and a USB port. Tegra 3 processoris a new generation Sysytem-On-Chip from Nvidia.The Tegra 3 has quad core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore that clocks upto 1.4GHz. It supports 3D stereo and has 40nm process by TMSC.

Intel Unveils One Teraflops Chip

Intel has developed an accelerator chip capable of running at speeds of one teraflops, equal to one trillion calculations per second. The firm showed off the chip Knights Corner, on a test machine at a supercomputing conference in Seattle. Computer power on this scale is used to solve a range of problems in fields such as weather forecasting, molecular modelling and car crash simulations. The chip pits Intel against rival add-on processors from Nvidia and AMD. The Knights Corner chip acts as a co-processor taking over some of the most complicated tasks from the computer's central processing unit (CPU). It packs more than 50 cores - or individual processors - onto a single piece of silicon.

Nokia to Launch Windows based Tablet Next Year

Paul Amsellen, head of Nokia France said "In June 2012, we will have an tablet that runs on Windows 8" in an interview with an French newspaper.

The Bold 9790, which will be available in the UK early next year, it will have a 1GHz processor, an 8GB of onboard memory and an expandable memory card slot that supports up to 32GB of additional storage. The Curve 9380 will launch in the UK in late November and has a 3.2 inch display and comes with preinstalled social networking apps, including BBM, Facebook, Twitter and Social Feedsas well as a 5MP camera with flash and video recording. Huawei Launched Two Smartphones & a Tab in India

Huawei today launched two Android run smartphones and a tablet alone with its cloud services in India. The two smartphones are Huawei Sonic and Huawei Ideos X3. Huawei Sonic has an 3.5 inch capacity touch display, it would run on Androids v2.3 Gingerbread OS and has a 600 MHz processor with 256MB of RAM, it will have 512MB of on-board storage and 20GB of additional storage (4GB of bundled microSD card and 16GB on the cloud drive). The phone has a 3.2MP camera and will have an expandable memory upto 32 GB. The price of this handset is around Rs.9,210. Huawei Ideos X3 will also run on Android v2.3 OS, the phone has same specs has the Huawei Sonic but will also have Bluetooth, USB and WiFi connectivity. The X3 is priced at Rs.10.229. Huawei MediaPad tablet runs on Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS and is powered by Qualcomm's 1.2 GHz dual core processor. It has a 7-inch IPS LCD screen that has a resolution of 1280x800 pixels.   Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 smartphones has been announced by Nokia today in India. Lumia 800 is powered by a single-core 1.4Ghz CPU. It has Adreno 205 GPU, 512MB RAM, a 3.7-inch screen, a 8MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, and 16GB storage and weighs 142grams. While Lumia 710 is powered by a single-core 1.4Ghz CPU. It has 512MB RAM, Adreno 205 GPU, 8GB storage, 5MP camera with LED flash and 3.7-inch TFT screen (480 x 800 pixels). The cost of these smartphones has not been announced till now by Nokia but will be out soon.

COD: Modern Warfare 3 Breaks Sales Record

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 sold a record 6.5 million copies with in 24hrs of its launch. It has set the new record for the biggest ever entertainment launch, Activision Blizzard the games publisher have claimed that alone in US and UK, the first person shooter(fps) game have sold 6.5m units on the first day, totally an estimated $400m in sales. Modern Warfare 3 have beaten the Harry Potter's box office sales!!, the movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, made $80m in one day on the global box office, a record figure for the film industry. It has also beaten its previous series set record with Call of Duty: Black Op made the sales of 5.6m copies in its first day and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 sold 4.7m copies in 24 hours of its launch.

I have  previously posted that iPhone 4S will be launched likely in India on November 24. The S tablet has an 9.4inch display with 1280x800 pixel resolution runs on Android Honeycomb OS, it has an dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 mobile processor with 1GB RAM, an 5MP rear and 0.3MP front camera. The S tablet is available in 16GB and 32GB version. The Sony P tablet has an dualscreen design,it has an 5.5inch touchscreens with 1024x480 pixel resolution which also runs on Android Honeycomb OS ans also have the same dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 mobile processor. This tablet has a 5MP camera at the back and 0.3MP camera in the front.

HTC to launch HTC Sensation XE next week, first smartphone with Beats Audio in India . The smartphone is is already available from online stores. Coming Soon An Improved Aakash 2 Tablet

Aakash 2 tablet will be launched in February 2012. HRD minister Kapil Sibal said “We expect to launch the new version of Aakash by January-February next year”. The new Aakash will have the same price as the old one, Rs 2,276. It will have an 800Mhz processor as compared to the present 366Mhz processor, 1GB of RAM more than than present 256MB one. Aakash 2 will also have an front facing camera for video chatting and an better 7 inch display.

Samsung Galaxy Phones to Get Gingerbread Upgrade

Samsung will release Android 2.3 Gingerbread update to all of the Galaxy smartphones. The updates will be available by end of this year. At launch event of Galaxy Note , the company execute said that the company plans to roll out Gingerbread update for its entire Galaxy series smartphones. Now the Android OS v4.0   Ice Cream Sandwich will be available in market with  new smartphones and  the Android v2.3 Gingerbread has been announced almost a year ago, the Samsung user would have been eagerly waiting for this update. Samsung plans to upgrades all Android smartphones in India with Gingerbread update.

I have previously posted in my blog that Razr would be worlds slimmest smartphone 7.1mm (0.28 inch) thin and will run on the Android 2.3.5 with a Motoblur skin. The Droid Razr weighs only 127 grams and will have a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor with 1GB RAM with 32GB of memory and a 8MP camera with HD recording.
