HP will Launch Windows 8 Tablet

HP has said that it will launch a Windows 8 based Tablet next year. Meg Whitman, HP Chief Executive said, “We’re at the beginning stages of a new segment. I hardly think that we’re too late, the work we’re doing with Microsoft is extraordinarily compelling, ultraportables are compelling.” She also said that the HP will soon launch its Windows 8 Tablet next year. HP recently unveiled a Windows 7 based Slate in October. Priced at $799, the device is powered by a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory and will have 1080p video feature. There’s also a front facing camera and a 3MP rear one. The 8.9-inch device runs Windows 7 Professional and HP targeted the enterprise and business market.

Nokia Unveiled Its Flexible Smartphone

Nokia showed off its flexible OLED smartphone along with Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 during the Nokia World event . This smartphone is called Nokia Kinetic Device. The feature of this smartphone is that it can bend and is very flexible and a UI that is wholly dependent on the way in which users interact with it, specifically by bending and twisting it to navigate its various functions. This flexibility can be used in order to maintain and control the various levels of interface. Other path breaking features of this device is that it is water proof in nature which means that this device is expected to work fine even in water surface as well. We can zoom in or zoom out any images or pages in that device by bending the phone. Since its still in its prototype phase the phone dint have an camera, GPS or a touchscreen, the navigation was through bending of the phone through files and photos.

Lava Launches S12 Android Based Smartphone

Lava mobile has launched its first android based smartphone in India. The Lava S12 will run on Androids old 2.2 Froyo OS. It will have an 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen with 480×320 resolution with 3D interface, a 5MP camera, it is powered by a 600 MHz Qualcomm processor , Lava S12 will come with a 2GB microSD card which can be expanded upto 32GB. The 3D UI transforms the home screen into a virtual 3D space and offers 16 customizable home screens. For connectivity it has 3G (up to7.2Mbps), Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth features. This smartphone would cost you around Rs. 9,999.

Porsche Design BlackBerry Phone Launched

Porsche Design and Research In Motion (RIM) announced the elite new Porsche Design P’9981 smartphone from BlackBerry. Designed by Porsche Design, in collaboration with RIM, the luxury brand’s first smartphone delivers engineered luxury and performance. This customized Porsche Design P’9981 comes with an exclusive Porsche Design UI and a bespoke Wikitude World Browser augmented reality app experience. It will have a forged stainless steel frame, hand-wrapped leather back cover, sculpted QWERTY keyboard, and crystal clear touch display. Coming back to specs the smartphone has an MSM 8655 1.2 GHz processor, a new BlackBerry 7 OS, 5MP camera with HD video recording and 4x digital zoom, 24-bit high resolution graphics, and advanced sensors enabling new augmented reality applications. It comes with 8GB of on-board memory, expandable up to 32GB with a micro SD card. The BlackBerry P’9981 will be available in Porsche Design Stores by the end of this year for about $2000.

Samsung will Launch Flexible Phone Next Year

Samsung will sell flexible phones from next year, the Samsung Galaxy Skin is the smartphone which will bend around a cylinder with a 1 inch diameter. The phone will have an AMOLED display that will be flexible and almost unbreakable. The key material of this new technology is ‘graphene’. Research by scientists from Columbia University has established that ‘graphene’ is the strongest material in the world, some 200 times stronger than structural steel according to the research. This new technology also allows the phone to be used as a mouse, a clock or a wrist-watch. The Galaxy Skin will have high-resolution 800×480 flexible AMOLED screen, eight megapixel camera and  a 1.2GHz processor which will be powered by 1Gb of RAM. Samsung has not yet disclosed the device’s operating system, but there have been rumors about Jelly Bean Google’s next Android release after Ice Cream Sandwich which will run the phone.

Samsung Galaxy Note Launch on Nov 2 in India

Samsung is all set to launch its new large-screen mini-tablet like smartphone Galaxy Note in India on November 2. The company will also live stream the launch event from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm on next next Wednesday. The Galaxy Note has a 5.29 inch display. The phone is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and will run on Android 2.3 OS. The smartphone has an 8 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera. It will have an internal memory of 16 GB, it will have an microSD card slot for increasing the storage capacity upto 32GB. While Samsung has not yet revealed its price in India, the phone is set be launched in UK with an price tag of around of £594.

LG Prada K2 Images Leaked

LG Prada K2 has not been officially announced by LG, but the recent images which are leaked proves that the phone will be announced soon by LG. The Prada K2 will run on Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, it will have a large 4.3-inch touchscreen TFT display, it uses the NOVA display technology and offers over 1000 nits of brightness. It will have a 8 megapixel camera with an LED flash with HD recording feature and have a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera. The LG Prada K2 will have an internal storage of 16GB and have an microSD card slot for increasing the storage memory upto 32GB. Nokia Introduces Asha Series of Mobile Phones

Nokia unveiled new Asha range of mobile phones at its Nokia World 2011 conference, a name that clearly identifies Nokia's target market. The name is derived from the Hindi word for "hope", the series Asha series would have four models 200, 201, 300 and 303, all of which run the Series Symbian 40 6th Edition OS, come pre-loaded with Nokia Maps. Although the phones will be relatively cheap, they will sport features like touch screens, 5 mega pixel cameras, 32GB storage for music and a long battery life. The 200(left image) is a dual SIM phone and offer up to 32GB of storage for media playback and has battery life of 52 hours, the 201 have exceptionally loud speakers and is an single SIM phone. Both the Asha 200 and 201 will cost €60(£52). The 300 and 303 are the capacitive touchscreen handsets, the 300 will have a numeric keypad and offers a 1GHz CPU, 5MP camera and 3G, it will cost €85(£75). Nokia Launched Two Windows 7.5 Smartphones

Nokia Launched Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710 smartphones at the event in London, both the phones would run on Windows 7.5(Mango) OS. The Nokia Lumia 800 will feature a 3.7 inch AMOLED ClearBlack curved display (800 x 480), a 1.4GHz single-core Qualcomm processor with Adreno 205 GPU, 512MB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera that makes use of a f/2.2 Carl Zeiss lens and is optimized for taking photographs in low light conditions and 720p video capable, HSPA+ connectivity. The Lumia 710 will also have the same fetures but will sport an 5-megapixel with an f2.4 aperture and will have an 8GB of internal storage. Nokia will start shipping the Lumia 800 range almost immediately and hit the shops in France, Germany, Italy, UK, Spain and the Netherlands in November. Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore, and Taiwan should get the device by the end of the year. It is already available for preorder on the Nokia website for the equivalent of $585

HTC Rezound may be Announced in the HTC Event on 3rd Nov

HTC has been sending invitations for for its event in New York on November 3. HTC may launch its much awaited HTC Rezound. HTC Rezound is expected to carry the high-end technology, it will have 4.3-inch 720p HD display, a powerful 1.5Ghz dual-core processor with an 1GB of RAM, an 8MP camera. The HTC Rezound would be running on Android's 2.3.4 with the overlay HTC Sense 3.5 but expected to be able to upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is still not clear if theHTC Rezound would be launched at the HTC event.

iPhone 4S Likely to be Launched on Nov 24 in India

  The iPhone 4S will be launched likely in India on November 24. iPhone 4 was launched a year later after its launched in U.S, if apple will launch the iPhone 4S in India on November 24, it will be just 2 months of its official launch and it would be a great delight for the apple fans in India. Still price would be an important factor because the iPhone 4S may not be able to come at the price lesser than Rs.30,000 and the high-end iPhone 4S may even cost more than what we may expect.

Viewsonic has already launched ViewPad 7 in India at the price tag of Rs.15,000. The upcoming low-cost tablet, called Viewpad 7e, would run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with a 1Ghz Arm Cortex-A8 processor and 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM. The bad news is that the tablet's 7 inch display with 800 x 600 pixel resolution will have a resistive touchscreen which will not be an plus feature of the ViewPad. Viewsonic ViewPad 7e is outfitted with a rear camera of 3 megapixels as well as a front camera which is of 0.3 megapixels. Apart from this, it chains WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1. It also enhances the gaming features with the help of Adobe flash 10.3, web media and video steaming. It comes with an internal memory of 8GB and an microSD card slot for increasing the  memory capacity of this tablet up to 32 GB. The Viewsonic ViewPad 7e maybe priced at around Rs.10,000.

Asus Transformer 2 Tab will be Launched on Nov 9

The Asus Transformer 2 or Prime tablet will be launched by November 9, Jonney Shih, Chairman of Asus said. Asus Transformer Prime tablet will be 8.3 mm thick, with a 10 inch display and 1 GB of RAM. The new Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime will have a five core bearing Nvidia Tegra 3 System on chip codenamed as Kal-El. The new age quad-core processor, code named Kal El, is thus named after Superman's birth name and is the first such processor for ultra portable devices like smartphones and tablets. Out of the five different computing cores, the processor will independently choose which and how many cores are to be used to give the best possible performance. The date for Asus Transformer 2 launch in India is still not announced, but the possibility are that it may be launched at the end of this year.

LG Optimus Net Launched in India for Rs.9,999

The LG Optimus Net is an Android based phone and uses Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. It has 3.2-inches capacitive display, 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7227T processor which is powered by 512MB of RAM, 3 megapixel camera with autofocus and geo-tagging feature. Optimus Net has an internal memory of 150MB, which can be extended through microSD card slot and for connectivity WiFi as well as Bluetooth. Canon Announced EOS-1D X DSLR:18 MP Camera

Canon has announced the Canon EOS-1D X DSLR, a high-speed, 18-megapixel camera that replaces the company’s EOS-1Ds Mark III and EOS-1D Mark IV models. The 18MP camera is built around a full-frame sensor capable of shooting at up to 14 frames per second (12fps with AF), allowing it to replace both the 1D Mark IV and 1DS Mark III in Canon's lineup. The camera's curious single-letter name represents a trio of industry milestones, the X is the 10th generation Canon professional SLR. There's also an incredibly sharp intelligent optical viewfinder, with an on-demand grid, AF status indicator, a dual-axis electronic level and a shooting mode readout. For video shooting options have been provided to choose between 1080p video capture at 24 (23.97), 25 or 30 fps, or 720p at 50 or 60 fps. The camera's current list price is $6,800 (for body only) and it is scheduled for debut in March 2012.

Motorola has launched the worlds slimmest smartphone. The Razr is back with a bang after a long time. It runs on the Android 2.3.5 with a Motoblur skin. The Droid Razr is 7.1mm (0.28 inch) thin and weighs only 127 grams. DROID RAZR proves that thin no longer equals frail. It’s made strong with Kevlar fiber, while Gorilla Glass defends the screen against scrapes and scratches. A force field of water-repellent nanoparticles shields the phone against water attacks. It has 4.3 inch screen and Verizon’s 4G LTE network, piloted by a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor with 1GB RAM. Google and Samsung have just launched the long-awaited Galaxy Nexus in Hong Kong, the features HD Super AMOLED display (1,280 x 720), a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5 megapixel rear camera (with LED flash), a 1.3 megapixel front-facing cam, 1080p video recording and playback, a newfangled panorama mode, a 3.5mm headphone jack and Bluetooth 3.0. HCL Launches ME X1 Tablet for Rs.10,490

HCL has launched ME X1 tablet at the price tag of Rs.10,490. HCL now has entered the tablet market with the business with its launch of ME X1. Mr Harsh Chitale, CEO, HCL Infosystems, said " The X1 ME promises to bring great value by re-defining on-the-go user exprience with its innovative design, display and technology." The 7-inch tab will have to face the competition from the Reliance 3G Tab and the Beetel Magiq which are already in the market. Unix & C Programming Creator Dennis Ritchie Has Died

Dennis Ritchie, the software developer who brought the world the C programming language and Unix operating system, has died at home over the weekend after a long illness. Brief History of Ritchie: Born in September 1941 in Bronxville, New York, Ritchie graduated from Harvard with a BS in mathematics and a PhD in physics before joining Bell Labs in 1968. He was a member of the team working on building a general computer operating system. With Bell's Ken Thompson, Ritchie helped develop Unix and released the first edition of the operating system in 1971. Two years later in 1973 Ritchie came up with the C language.

The Adroids newest OS-Ice Cream Sandwich which is scheduled to be launched with the Samsung Nexus Prime, above are the leaked images of the OS on a tech site TechCrunch . The OS will have the Honeycomb-style like interface which is been used by the tablets which have holographic UI(User Interface), resizeable widgets, multitasking panel and app launcher.  The OS will also fave recognition and USB hub features. Google chrome will also debut in the Ice Cream Sandwich and also a new Google Music app. Samsung to launch Android 4.0-based Nexus Prime on October 19 at Hong Kong.

Blackberry Services Problem

Many Blackberry users in Europe, Middle East, Africa and parts of Asia are facing service outage problem due to the technical glitch in the smartphone maker's infrastructure. The outage of services are caused due to the large backlog of data which was generated and the company said they are  working to clear that backlog and restore normal service as quickly as possible. The blackouts have left millions of users around the globe without email services, web browsing and Blackberry Messaging (BBM) services. The Blackberry users are left with no option but to text and make calls. BBC has reported that the server problem maybe caused at the RIM's UK data centre in Slough. "Although the system is designed to failover to a back-up switch, the failover did not function as previously tested.
