BlackBerry Launched Three Smartphone In India

Blackberry launched three phones in India which run on latest Blackberry 7 OS. The three smartphones are BlackBerry Bold 9790, BlackBerry Curve 9350 and Curve 9380. The BlackBerry Bold and Curve offers enhanced performance and browsing and also near-field communication(NFC) support. BlackBerry Bold 9790 has Qwerty keyboard with 2.45 inch touch screen display. The phone has 1Ghz processor, 5MP rear camera and 8GB of onboard memory which can expandable upto 32GB and is priced at Rs.27,490. BlackBerry Curve 9380 has a 3.2 inch display and comes with preinstalled social networking apps, including BBM, Facebook, Twitter and Social Feeds as well as a 5MP camera with flash and video recording. The new BlackBerry Curve 9380 is the first in the Curve range with a touch display and is priced around Rs.20,990. The BlackBerry Curve 9350 is a CDMA based phone. The Handset has 800Mhz processor, 5MP camera and has 512MB of inbuilt memory. The phone is priced at Rs.20,990.

Idea Launches Android Based Smartphone

Idea has launched 3G Android based smartphone for Rs.5,850 and Rs.7,992. The Smartphone would run on Android v2.2 Froyo OS and will have 3.2MP camera. The smartphones will have 3.5 and 2.8 inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS. Smartphones will have social networking sites apps, Google and YouTube will be pre-loaded. Along with the phones Idea is offering data services worth Rs.3,500 with Rs.259 pack which offers 1GB of data download per month and Idea TV subscription both for three months, 3G Double Dhamaka benefits for 6 months and Rs.25 talktime for both prepaid and postpaid users.

Amazon will launch Smartphone By 2012 End

Amazon may launch smartphone by the end of 2012 Citigroup said. In a research note the brokerage said Amazon is jointly developing a phone with cellphone maker Foxcon International. The smartphone will have Texas Instruments processor and Qualcomm's based chip. With Amazons success from Kindle e-Reader and Kindle Fire, Amazon may come up with a good phone in the market.

Airtel Revealed iPhone 4S Prices in India

Bharti Airtel has revealed the price of the much awaited iPhone 4S in India. Airtel will be selling the iPhone 4S 16GB variant for Rs.44,500 and 32GB variant for Rs.50,900. The iPhone 4S will be launched on 25 November in India, while Airtel has started taking the pre-orders from today. Aircel which also with Airtel announced the iPhone 4S launch in India has not yet started taking pre-orders but soon will. The Airtel has also repriced the iPhone 4 for Rs.35,000 for the 8GB variant and iPhone 3GS for Rs.20,900.

The Bold 9790, which will be available in the UK early next year, it will have a 1GHz processor, an 8GB of onboard memory and an expandable memory card slot that supports up to 32GB of additional storage. The Curve 9380 will launch in the UK in late November and has a 3.2 inch display and comes with preinstalled social networking apps, including BBM, Facebook, Twitter and Social Feedsas well as a 5MP camera with flash and video recording. The new BlackBerry Curve 9380 is the first in the Curve range with a touch display.

Huawei Launched Two Smartphones & a Tab in India

Huawei today launched two Android run smartphones and a tablet alone with its cloud services in India. The two smartphones are Huawei Sonic and Huawei Ideos X3. Huawei Sonic has an 3.5 inch capacity touch display, it would run on Androids v2.3 Gingerbread OS and has a 600 MHz processor with 256MB of RAM, it will have 512MB of on-board storage and 20GB of additional storage (4GB of bundled microSD card and 16GB on the cloud drive). The phone has a 3.2MP camera and will have an expandable memory upto 32 GB. The price of this handset is around Rs.9,210. Huawei Ideos X3 will also run on Android v2.3 OS, the phone has same specs has the Huawei Sonic but will also have Bluetooth, USB and WiFi connectivity. The X3 is priced at Rs.10.229. Nokia Lumia 800 & Lumia 710 Announced in India

  Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 smartphones has been announced by Nokia today in India. Lumia 800 is powered by a single-core 1.4Ghz CPU. It has Adreno 205 GPU, 512MB RAM, a 3.7-inch screen, a 8MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, and 16GB storage and weighs 142grams. While Lumia 710 is powered by a single-core 1.4Ghz CPU. It has 512MB RAM, Adreno 205 GPU, 8GB storage, 5MP camera with LED flash and 3.7-inch TFT screen (480 x 800 pixels). The cost of these smartphones has not been announced till now by Nokia but will be out soon.

Motorola Droid Razr Available Online For Rs.33,990

The worlds slimmest phone Motorola Droid Razr has landed in India with its sale online on Flipkart.com at the price tag of Rs.33,990. It has been given the name Motorola RAZR XT910 dropping the Droid word. The handset is 7.1mm (0.28 inch) thin and weighs only 127 grams, it runs on Android v2.3 Gingerbread OS and has an 8MP primary camera with full HD recording and 1.3MP secondary camera, a 1.2 GHz Dual Core ARM Cortex A9 Processor and 4.3-inch super AMOLED touchscreen.

Airtel & Aircel to Launch iPhone 4S in India

The two mobile operators Bharti Airtel and Aircel to launch iPhone 4S in India. Both the operators have said that they will be bringing iPhone 4S to India Soon. I have  previously posted that iPhone 4S will be launched likely in India on November 24. The iPhone 4S which was launched in US market on 14 October, it has the same design as iPhone 4 but comes with additional features which made it an instant it in the market. It will have Siri The AI, new OS- iOS5, Dual core A5 chip, 8 MP camera with HD video recording.

Micromax A85 Smartphone Available Online

Micromax A85 Superfone is now on sale online. The A85 smartphone is available for Rs.18,900 on flipkart.com. It would run on Android Froyo OS and will be powered by 1 GHz Cortex-A9 Dual Core processor, a 512 MB RAM and comes loaded with a unique motion sensor. It has an 3.8-inch TFT touchscreen display, an 5MP rear camera with a 7.2x zoom and 0.3MP front facing camera. The Micromax A85 smartphone will have an internal memory of 8GB which can be expandable up to 32GB using microSD. The other features of the phone include GPRS, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a micro USB port. Well all the specs of the phone are good except for its old OS, lets hope that there would be an Gingerbread upgrade for it.

Motorola has launched the Defy+ smartphone in India. The Motorola Defy+ runs on Android v2.3, Gingerbread OS, it has an 1GHz processor with 512MB internal RAM and 1GB internal ROM. It has an 3.7inch display, an 5MP camera with LED flash and has autofocus feature. The Defy+ will have an microSD slot for expanding memory upto 32GB. the other features include 3G, EDGE/GPRS, GPS, Wi-Fi, Stereo Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0. This smartphone is priced around Rs.17,990.

HTC To Launch Sensation XE Next Week

HTC to launch HTC Sensation XE next week, first smartphone with Beats Audio in India . The smartphone is is already available from online stores. HTC Sensation XE runs on Android v2.3.4 (Gingerbread) and has a 1.5GHz dual core processor couple with 768 MB of RAM. It has an 4.3inch qHD screen with a resolution of 540 X 960 pixels, an 8MP camera with auto-focus, and a powerful dual LED, the smartphone also supports Full HD 1080p videos at 30 fps with stereo sound recording feature. HTC Sensation XE also offers features like GPRS, EDGE, 3G and Wi-Fi platforms and also has the AGPS support that allows you to find any place and guides you from place to place. The price of this phone online is Rs.32,400.

Samsung Galaxy Phones to Get Gingerbread Upgrade

Samsung will release Android 2.3 Gingerbread update to all of the Galaxy smartphones. The updates will be available by end of this year. At launch event of Galaxy Note , the company execute said that the company plans to roll out Gingerbread update for its entire Galaxy series smartphones. Now the Android OS v4.0   Ice Cream Sandwich will be available in market with  new smartphones and  the Android v2.3 Gingerbread has been announced almost a year ago, the Samsung user would have been eagerly waiting for this update. Samsung plans to upgrades all Android smartphones in India with Gingerbread update.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note in India Today. I have previously posted the specs of the phone. The Note has an 5.29 inch display and is priced at Rs.34,990, well its an mini-tab but is also costly, well who would buy this mini-tab cum smartphone when we have large screen tablets at same price. If you are bored with your phone with small screen well this what Samsung has to offer to you if you want something which fall between your phone and tablet.

Motorola Razr to be Launched next week in India

Motorola will launch the Motorola Razr next week in India according to the report in Times of India. I have previously posted in my blog that Razr would be worlds slimmest smartphone 7.1mm (0.28 inch) thin and will run on the Android 2.3.5 with a Motoblur skin. The Droid Razr weighs only 127 grams and will have a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor with 1GB RAM with 32GB of memory and a 8MP camera with HD recording.

Nokia Unveiled Its Flexible Smartphone

Nokia showed off its flexible OLED smartphone along with Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 during the Nokia World event . This smartphone is called Nokia Kinetic Device. The feature of this smartphone is that it can bend and is very flexible and a UI that is wholly dependent on the way in which users interact with it, specifically by bending and twisting it to navigate its various functions. This flexibility can be used in order to maintain and control the various levels of interface. Other path breaking features of this device is that it is water proof in nature which means that this device is expected to work fine even in water surface as well. We can zoom in or zoom out any images or pages in that device by bending the phone. Since its still in its prototype phase the phone dint have an camera, GPS or a touchscreen, the navigation was through bending of the phone through files and photos.

Lava Launches S12 Android Based Smartphone

Lava mobile has launched its first android based smartphone in India. The Lava S12 will run on Androids old 2.2 Froyo OS. It will have an 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen with 480×320 resolution with 3D interface, a 5MP camera, it is powered by a 600 MHz Qualcomm processor , Lava S12 will come with a 2GB microSD card which can be expanded upto 32GB. The 3D UI transforms the home screen into a virtual 3D space and offers 16 customizable home screens. For connectivity it has 3G (up to7.2Mbps), Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth features. This smartphone would cost you around Rs. 9,999.

Porsche Design BlackBerry Phone Launched

Porsche Design and Research In Motion (RIM) announced the elite new Porsche Design P’9981 smartphone from BlackBerry. Designed by Porsche Design, in collaboration with RIM, the luxury brand’s first smartphone delivers engineered luxury and performance. This customized Porsche Design P’9981 comes with an exclusive Porsche Design UI and a bespoke Wikitude World Browser augmented reality app experience. It will have a forged stainless steel frame, hand-wrapped leather back cover, sculpted QWERTY keyboard, and crystal clear touch display. Coming back to specs the smartphone has an MSM 8655 1.2 GHz processor, a new BlackBerry 7 OS, 5MP camera with HD video recording and 4x digital zoom, 24-bit high resolution graphics, and advanced sensors enabling new augmented reality applications. It comes with 8GB of on-board memory, expandable up to 32GB with a micro SD card. The BlackBerry P’9981 will be available in Porsche Design Stores by the end of this year for about $2000.

Samsung will Launch Flexible Phone Next Year

Samsung will sell flexible phones from next year, the Samsung Galaxy Skin is the smartphone which will bend around a cylinder with a 1 inch diameter. The phone will have an AMOLED display that will be flexible and almost unbreakable. The key material of this new technology is ‘graphene’. Research by scientists from Columbia University has established that ‘graphene’ is the strongest material in the world, some 200 times stronger than structural steel according to the research. This new technology also allows the phone to be used as a mouse, a clock or a wrist-watch. The Galaxy Skin will have high-resolution 800×480 flexible AMOLED screen, eight megapixel camera and  a 1.2GHz processor which will be powered by 1Gb of RAM. Samsung has not yet disclosed the device’s operating system, but there have been rumors about Jelly Bean Google’s next Android release after Ice Cream Sandwich which will run the phone.
