Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 comes with Android OS, v2.2 (Froyo), upgradable to v2.3. It comes with a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. It runs on a 800 MHz ARM 11 processor and Adreno 200 GPU. It includes 2 GB microSD card. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS Navigation. Camera is 5 MP with autofocus and LED flash, other key features are TouchWiz V3.0 UI, Swype Text Input Method and DNSe Sound Enhancement. The Galaxy Ace comes with an price tag of Rs.12,900.

Samsung Galaxy Y runs on the Android OS, v2.3.5 Gingerbread was launched in August. It has an 3.0 inch touchscreen, Samsung packs in a 832 MHz processor and the RAM appears to be over 300MB. The Galaxy Y also features AGPS, WiFi, a 2MP camera, a 3.5mm audio jack at the top and the micro USB port behind a plastic covering. It has an price tag of Rs.6900.

LG Optimus Me runs on Android OS v2.2 Froyo. It has 2.8 inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen, 3.15 MP camera with autofocus, an 3.5mm jack, speech recognition feature and has an internal memory of 140MB. The Price of Optimus Me is around Rs.8,000.

HTC Wildfire S runs on the Android's OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread), the Wildfire S have an 600MHz Sncorpion CPU, Adreno 200 GPU and an 512MB RAM. It has an 5 megapixel color camera with auto focus and flash, it waighs 105grams and has 3.2 inch tochscreen. The Wildfire S is priced around Rs.13,990.

Samsung galaxy Pop runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS. It has an capacitive 3.2 inch display screen, a 3.2MP camera, internal memory 160 MB expandable memory up to 32GB with card slot of microSD/SDH. It has the features like 3G HSDPA, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP connectivity and comes with an MicroUSB 2.0 port. The price of this mobile is around Rs.9,000.

Coming Soon An Improved Aakash 2 Tablet

Aakash 2 tablet will be launched in February 2012. HRD minister Kapil Sibal said “We expect to launch the new version of Aakash by January-February next year”. The new Aakash will have the same price as the old one, Rs 2,276. It will have an 800Mhz processor as compared to the present 366Mhz processor, 1GB of RAM more than than present 256MB one. Aakash 2 will also have an front facing camera for video chatting and an better 7 inch display.

Intel, Micron Announces 128GB NAND Flash Chip

Intel and Micron Technology, Inc announced a new NAND flash chip. The flash technology is worlds first 20nm, 128Gb device. The device has 333 megatransfer per second(MT/s) speed providing cost effect solid state storage for our slim and light weight smartphones, tablets and solid state drives. The success of 20nm process is due to an new innovative cell structure that enables more aggressive cell scaling than conventional architecture. The 20nm NAND uses a planer cell structure that overcomes inherent difficulties.  The 128Gb NAND flash devices will be mass produced by first-half of  2012.
